Our internal Neanderthaler.
Today, I will tell you my theory about the quality of our food.
In theory, that means that we can now use our brain = ratio to make clear decisions.
But when it comes to making decisions about our personal health, as a Homo Sapiens, many of us times left our ratio behind in the forest, and just followed the rest of the tribe.
We live in an era where the tribe no longer regulates our behaviour. We live as individuals, next to each other in an environment where there is too much noise, too much light, too much motion etc. The small piece of ground we have at our disposal, our living space, is much too small for us. Where once there was enough food around us to fulfill our needs, now we need to perform many tricks to get the food we need. These artifices provide us with the quantity we need, but not with the quality we require
The poor quality of our food is one of the reasons why our health is not at it’s best. Our immune-system needs a certain amount of vitamins, minerals etc. to function properly.
For obvious reasons we can’t get the required amount out of our daily dose of vegetables and fruit anymore. As a result, our bodies don’t function properly anymore. We notice this by the signals our bodies send us. But frequently we don’t take these signals seriously.
Many times you hear : ‘o, I always have that’, or, ‘everybody in our family has that’. Eventhough they don’t bother you too much, that doesn’t mean it’s normal.
The thought : if more people suffer from it, it must be normal, is not a healthy one. Without exaggerating, I can state that it can even be dangerous. I would like people to start using their common sense.
We’re not herd animals anymore.
Next time I will offer you a solution to improve your health. And keep it healthy. It’s a way to improve the quality of your life in a measurable way.
And only yourself can do that.
Nobody else but you.
